History Center plans genealogy event

The Union Mission Chapter Oklahoma Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Oklahoma History Center announce an upcoming Genealogy event Aug. 10. Craig Scott, Certified Professional Genealogist of North Carolina, will be at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City for a one-day genealogy event. Scott is nationally known for his research and presentations.  He is the outstanding teacher of Revolutionary era genealogy. He will give presentations that will include: Revolutionary War research strategies, Post-Revolutionary War strategies, migration patterns, problem solving, newest availability of  records and breaking down brick walls.  He will invite questions during the sessions.  

The Oklahoma History Center is located at 800 Nazih Zuhdi Drive Oklahoma City 73105, near the State Capitol. Doors will open at

9:30 a.m. and sessions will start at 10 p.m. The fee is $50, which includes a box lunch and professional handout.

All proceeds go to the “Veterans First Fund.” To register for limited seating, send a check made out to OSDAR and put Aug. 10 in the memo.  Mail your registration fee to Pat McFall, State Regent at 2212 Brookwood Drive, Edmond, OK 73034.  Any questions can be directed to the same at 405-844-8824.
