Claremore to host Money Smart for Small Business workshop

— “Money Smart for Small Business” is an instructor-led training curriculum developed by FDIC and SBA and will be held Feb. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Workshop location is Rogers State University, Innovation Center, Room 111, 1701 University Drive, Claremore.  Registration is $25 per person, including lunch and materials, and may be made online at

Workshop topics include financial management, banking services, risk management, recordkeeping, credit reporting and much more.  The training includes a participant guide and presents an introduction to the topics, providing an overview, basic concepts and key points. Presenters are Del McClung, Northeast Technology Center and Dr. Barbara Rackley, Program Manager, REI Women’s Business Center.

“We will be covering 10 modules so this will be a great investment of your time and money,” Dr. Rackley said.  “The workshop is appropriate for new and aspiring entrepreneurs as well as existing businesses because it addresses organizing and managing a business.”
