CLAREMORE, OK —
Adair's Lady Warriors split four games at the Coweta-Claremore Tournament over the weekend, taking a pair of games from Durant and Sallisaw.
Adair (11-8) popped the Lady Lions with a 7-5 defeat Friday before losing two straight to host Claremore and Claremore Sequoyah. The Lady Zebras dropped Adair 11-2 before the No. 13 Lady Eagles took a 6-3 decision late Friday.
The Lady Warriors cleaned up against Sallisaw to come home with a 7-3 victory Saturday.
The win over Durant gave Adair a season-best five-game winning streak.
The Lady Warriors (No. 18 in Class 3A) hosted Cleveland Monday and will battle Ketchum in a home contest today at 4:30 p.m.
Pryor, also competing at the tournament, forged a 5-1 victory over Durant Saturday before dropping its second game of the day, a 5-0 shutout defeat at the hands of Wagoner.
Pryor (10-7, 3-1 District 5A-3) will play three district games this week — at home against Tahlequah Monday, at Coweta today at 5 p.m. and at Claremore Thursday at 5 p.m.
The Tigerettes will host a doubleheader with Sallisaw Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.
