Baseball: Salina alternates at Oologah

OOLOGAH, OK — Salina returned from Oologah with a 3-2 record against stiff competition at the Oologah Tournament.

The Wildcats (6-4) split their Saturday slate with Class 4A No. 1 Berryhill and host Oologah.

Salina took the top-ranked Chiefs to extra innings but lost 10-9. It was an echo of last season's Oologah tourney, when Salina also dropped a one-run extra-inning decision to Berryhill.

The Wildcats rebounded to trump the No. 11 Mustangs 14-9 in a late game.

Salina dropped Vinita 7-5 in its only Friday contest.

The Wildcats will host Adair in a cross-county matchup Tuesday. The first pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
