PENSACOLA, Fla. — Pryor upended defending Aggie Classic champion Washington (Pensacola, Fla.) 5-2 Tuesday.

A Spencer Henson single broke a 2-2 tie in the top of the seventh inning and Conley Ledoux brought home two more to give the Tigers a 5-2 lead over the defending champions of the 24-team tourney.

Anthony Martinez (1-0) picked up the win on the mound throwing for six innings and allowing six hits and two runs. Bradley Nixon relieved Martinez in the bottom of the seventh and earned his third save.

Henson batted 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Brennon Barth went 1-for-4 and brought in a pair of runs for the Tigers, who are 1-1 through two days of action at the Classic.

Pryor (6-2 overall) dropped a 15-4 decision to Niceville (Fla.) Monday.

Freshman hurler Gaige Mendivil (1-1) absorbed his first loss of the season. Pryor took a 2-1 lead into the top of the fourth inning but Niceville exploded for 14 runs over the next four innings to declaw the Tigers.
