Pryor splits with Mounties

PRYOR, OK — Pryor bounced back from an embarrassing loss to shut out Rogers (Ark.), 2-0, in soccer action Tuesday at Tiger Stadium.

On less than 24 hours rest, the Tigerettes (2-1) mustered a masterful defensive performance against the Mounties. Senior captain Karissa Aubrey opened the scoring in the 16th minute for Pryor, which lost 6-1 at the hands of Coweta in its home opener Monday.

Senior Silje Bendiksen kept the net clean in the first half for Pryor, while fellow senior Elizabeth Anderson kept the Lady Mounties off the board in the second half.

Freshman Whitney Jackson subbed in in the first half and scored in the 32nd minute to give the Tigerettes their final margin of victory.


Rogers drubs Tigers, 10-0

PRYOR — Pryor’s boys lost their first match of the season, a 10-0 pounding at the hands of Rogers (Ark.) Tuesday at Tiger Stadium.

Victor Calderon scored a hat trick for the vistors, and Jarrod Eisma scored a pair of goals.

Pryor (2-1) is off until the Tulsa Edison Tournament March 28-29.
