Yeager named All-Metro first-team

PRYOR, OK — Several Mayes County athletes were named to Tulsa World All-Metro teams last week, led by first-team wrestler Cub Yeager.

Yeager, of Locust Grove, won his third-straight state championship in March at 132 pounds.

Adair junior guard Kylie Looney was named to the girls basketball third-team.

Several other county athletes earned honorable mentions, including the rest of the starting five for the Adair girls basketball team: seniors Molly Kerr, Rendi Rogers and Bailey Stephens and freshman Keni Jo Lippe.

Other county athletes receiving honorable mentions for wrestling include Locust Grove's Braden Bennett, Isiah Woolman and Trey Loveall; Pryor's Cody Foos, Kelvin Grubbs and Dylan Wright; and Salina's Cullen Patterson.

Athletes receiving honorable mentions for boys basketball include Adair's BJ Bradbury and Greg Oxford; Chouteau's Champ Bridges; Locust Grove's Taylor Halpain, Colton Pike and Tyler Rowland; and Pryor's Robert Ross.

Athletes receiving honorable mentions for girls basketball include Locust Grove's Madison Davis and Bailey Holman; and Salina's Courtney Condit and Morgan Littlefield.

Athletes receiving honorable mentions for swimming include Pryor's Zack Hotella and Hunter Smith.
