Bret Fite threw a complete game and doubled twice to help his cause in Salina's 9-3 win over Adair Friday.
Salina and Adair played the nightcap of a one-day round-robin with Dewey.
Salina (10-11) took a 1-0 lead on an unearned run in the first inning before Adair tied it in the bottom of the inning on an unearned run of their own.
The Wildcats blew the game open in the second and fourth innings, scoring three times in each and adding a run in the third to take a commanding 8-1 lead.
Cale Backward, Colton Burgess and Fite each doubled in the fifth inning after Coby Backward led off with a single.
Hunter Rosebrough absorbed the loss on the mound for Adair, which fell to 10-10.
Adair added runs in the sixth and seventh innings. Rosebrough, Alec Brand and Cody Yoder singled in order to score Rosebrough in the seventh.
Fite fanned four Warriors.
Dewey 11, Adair 0
ADAIR — Adair fell to Class 4A's third-ranked Dewey, 11-0, in five innings Friday afternoon.
Alec Brand went 2-for-2 with a pair of singles for Adair, which will travel to Chelsea Monday evening for a 5:30 p.m. first pitch.
Dewey scored a pair of runs in the first, third and fourth innings before clinching the win with a five-run fifth.
Tayler Conseen was the losing pitcher.
Dewey 9, Salina 1
ADAIR — Dewey toppled Salina, 9-1, in five innings Friday at Adair.
The Wildcats tied the contest at 2-all in the second inning on a Bryce Kerns RBI single, but the Bulldoggers poured on eight runs in the fourth inning to smother Salina.
Logan Gardner had a pair of singles for Salina. Chase Mellowbug and Kerns had base hits, and Cody Daniels was 1-for-2 with a single and a walk.
Salina 5, Ketchum 3
KETCHUM — Salina upset Class 2A's No. 8 Ketchum on the road Thursday by a 5-3 margin.
The Wildcats will play Nowata at home Tuesday before co-hosting the Salina-Locust Grove baseball tournament beginning next weekend.
Salina and Nowata will throw the first pitch at 4:30 p.m.
