Gietzen, Webster named student athletes of the month

PRYOR, OK — Yorktown Bank honors Pryor High School student athletes who excel in sports and academics. Students are selected monthly, receive recognition for their accomplishments, and become candidates for the Yorktown Bank Athlete of the Year Scholarship.

The April Yorktown Bank Athletes of the Month were Evan Gietzen and Katarina Webster.

Gietzen is a senior and plays soccer, cross-country and swimming. He is a member of Student Council, Cinema Club, Physics Club and Scholarship Hunting Club.  He is also involved in Boy Scouts of America and The Refuge Youth Group at Southside Christian Church. After graduation he plans to attend college, get his degree and raise a family. He plans to attend the University of Tulsa and obtain a degree in chemical engineering with emphasis in petroleum.

Webster is a junior and plays tennis. She has made the state tennis tournament the last three years. She is a member of Choir, Student Council, L.O.F.T. and Riot Squad. She also participates in National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society. After graduation she plans to attend college.  Her degree is undecided at this time.
