ADAIR, OK — Cody Eby scored three touchdowns to lead Adair past Westville 38-15 in a non-district game Friday at Gene Winfield Stadium.

The Warriors (8-1, 5-0 2A-7) can win their third-straight district title next week when they travel to Pawhuska (4-5, 4-1 2A-7). Even with a loss, Adair could still win the district in the event of a three-way tie with Nowata and Pawhuska by virtue of its district points.

"It's a tough place to play," Adair head coach Mark Lippe said. "Looking at their record isn't a good indication of how good this team is. They always have good athletes, and [Pawhuska head coach] Bob Craig is a legendary coach in the state."

The Warriors opened up a 32-0 lead early in the third quarter on Eby's third score, a nine-yard run. Eby scored twice in the first quarter on a 19-yard run and a 30-yard pass-and-catch from quarterback BJ Bradbury.

"We struggled a little at the line of scrimmage tonight and we played a little sloppy," Lippe said. "I felt we had a good week of practice even though we were inside two days because of the rain."

Bradbury scored on a 15-yard run to give the Warriors a 20-0 lead in the second quarter, and Brock Martin returned an errant pass 68 yards for a defensive score to give Adair a 26-0 halftime advantage over the Yellowjackets (0-9).

Ben Woolman also scored on a one-yard plunge in the fourth quarter.

Adair recognized five seniors playing in their last regular season home game.
