Mayes County only playoff team, the undefeated 2012 Adair Warriors, will face the 5-5 Wyandotte Bears Friday at home.

Adair smashed the Bears, 54-22,the second week of the regular season.

Wyandotte is coming off a 25-8 loss to Colcord.

Adair is coming off a physical 38-14 victory over Pawhuska, the team that put them out in the first round of the playoffs last year.

Head Coach Mark Lippe said his players answered the question of whether his team could play with a high level of physicality, during the Pawhuska game.

The physical aspect of the Warriors performance will need to show up again against Wyandotte, especially on defense, according to Lippe.

“They're going to make adjustments,” Lippe said.

“They lined up just the way we wanted them to (at their first meeting). They have two very physical backs. All year long we have to answer the question, and it will be so next week... ‘can we stop the run?”
