PRYOR, OK —
After facing Claremore at home today, the Pryor baseball squad will cohost the annual Tiger-Zebra Classic this weekend with their Highway 20 rivals.
The Tigers are 8-5, coming off of a 2-2 showing at the 20th annual Aggie Classic in Pensacola, Fla. The Zebras (9-3) also headed to the beach over spring break, but came back with just one win and an 0-3 pool play record.
Pryor was ranked 10th in last week’s Okrankings.com poll while Claremore checked in at No. 2.
Pryor will play all three of its pool games at American Legion Memorial Field Thursday and Friday. The Tigers will kick off the classic at 2 p.m. Thursday against Booker T. Washington and will take on Skiatook in the 7 p.m. nightcap.
Pryor will conclude its pool matchups at 7 p.m. Friday against Miami.
The top two squads from each pool will tangle Saturday afternoon at Claremore’s American Legion Park, while Pryor will be the site for the third- and fourth-place games.
