Pryor releases 2013 football schedule

PRYOR, OK — The Pryor Tigers are gearing up for a season of rematches.

Every game on the 2013 Tiger schedule will feature an opponent from Pryor's 4-6 campaign in 2012.

The Tigers will open their season Friday, Sept. 6, at Catoosa (7:30 p.m. kickoff) before hosting their home opener Sept. 13 against Wagoner. The Tigers absorbed losses in those games last season before walloping their Week 3 opponent, Miami.

The Tigers will head to Miami to face the Wardogs and close non-district play Sept. 20. Kickoffs for the Wagoner and Miami games will be 7:30 p.m.

District 5A-4 play begins Sept. 27 at Coweta. Other district away games include Grove (Oct. 11) and Tahlequah (Oct. 25). Pryor defeated both the Ridgerunners and Tigers in 2012.

The home schedule for Pryor toughens up after a homecoming date with Tulsa Central on Oct. 4. The Tigers will host Highway 20 rival Claremore in a Thursday night throwdown Oct. 17, and will close out the season with a pair of home contests — Collinsville (Nov. 1) and defending 5A state runner-up Tulsa East Central in the regular season finale (Nov. 8).

All district games (at Coweta, vs. Tulsa Central, at Grove, vs. Claremore, at Tahlequah, vs. Collinsville and vs. East Central) will kick off at 7 p.m.

Pryor's scrimmage season starts Aug. 23 at McAlester followed by an exhibition at Muskogee Aug. 29.
