Lady Pirates lose to Keys on road

LOCUST GROVE — Dekota Gregory

Times Correspondent

The Lady Pirates lost their second straight game of the season Friday  at Keys. Locust Grove lost 57-50 to drop their record to 4-3.

Junior Jensen Cooper was not satisfied with the team’s performance.

“Definitely not our best (performance),” said Cooper. “We made bad decision after bad decision all throughout the game.”

Junior Bailey Holman led the team in scoring for the second time this season with 16 points.

Locust Grove will get an opportunity for revenge against Keys on their home floor Tuesday.

Cooper says the team will be motivated for the rematch after their loss.

“Everything we felt after today’s loss should make us more determined to win Tuesday,” Cooper said.

The Lady Pirates play the Cougars Tuesday at 4:30 p.m., in the first round of the Bank of Locust Grove Invitational Tournament.
