Golf: Brooner 25th at state

DUNCAN, OK — Pryor's Taylor Brooner finished 25th out of a field of 71 at the Class 5A girls state golf tournament at the Duncan Golf and Tennis Club Thursday.

Brooner had the lowest two-day score for any Tigerette, shooting a combined 196.

Durant's Sydney Youngblood ran away with her second consecutive state title with a 148, besting Duncan's Kayla Witt by eight strokes.

Mia Gordon, Zoey Rosebrough and Kaitlyn Collins rounded out the Pryor girls squad, which finished in 12th place.

Duncan won on its home course, its second state title in three years.
