Tennis: Tigers hold court at Grove

GROVE, OK — Pryor placed in each division to win the boys Grove Tennis Tournament championship over the weekend.

All-Metro Lakes Conference selection Katarina Webster took home gold in the girls singles top division to help the girls claim second place.

For the boys, Taylor Rhoads placed second in the top singles flight, while teammate Tyler Calhoun picked up a gold medal in the No. 2 flight.

In doubles competition, Josh Moore and Daniel Frailey combined for a runner-up finish, while Cody Moore and Freddie Mendoza won the lower division.

For the girls, Bella Campos' gold medal in the second division helped Pryor  sweep the singles competition.

Ashley Ogg and Sammy Gordon were runners-up in top flight doubles, and Ofy Chavoya and Jessica O'Dell earned bronze in No. 2 doubles.

The Pryor girls will travel to the University of Tulsa May 5 for a regional meet. Qualifiers will contend at the state tournament May 9 and 10.

The Tiger boys' regional is set for May 12 at Cascia Hall, with the state meet May 16 and 17.
