Baseball roundup: Skiatook upends Pryor, 3-1

PRYOR, OK — Pryor dropped a non-district home contest to 5A foe Skiatook, 3-1, Thursday.

The Tigers (13-7) scored their only run in the bottom of the first inning on a Nate Wolfe single.

Anthony Martinez pitched five innings of a no-decision, allowing one run in the third inning and striking out four Bulldogs.

Conley Ledoux (4-1) suffered his first defeat, relieving Martinez and giving up the go-ahead runs in the top of the sixth.

Wolfe was 2-for-4 at the plate for the Tigers, who committed four errors.

Warriors slay Dragons in five innings

ADAIR — Adair run-ruled Chelsea, 13-1, in five innings Thursday.

The Warriors (8-7) only managed five hits, but drew 11 walks and were hit by four Dragon pitches.

Cody Eby improved to 2-2 on the mound, allowing two hits and striking out four Dragons in three innings. Matt Skelton threw the last two innings for Adair.

Hunter Rosebrough went 2-for-3 at bat with three RBIs.

Chouteau drops heartbreaker

COMMERCE — Wyandotte scored the last six runs of the game, including the clincher in the eighth, to upset Chouteau 7-6 Thursday.

The Wildcats (15-2) fell to 1-2 in Mickey Mantle Tournament pool play and were slated to take on Afton Friday night in a final-round game.
