Golf, track, tennis regional venues set

PRYOR, OK — The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association has released schedules and venues for upcoming the upcoming spring postseason in several sports.

GOLF

Pryor Creek Golf Course is the host site for three postseason golf tournaments.

The course hosted a Class 5A girls regional Tuesday. The Pryor Lady Tigers were the host school. The girls 5A state tournament is set for Wednesday and Thursday, May 1 and 2 at Dornick Hills in Ardmore.

PCGC hosted a Class 2A girls qualifier last week. Chouteau is one of 19 schools that participated. The regional tournament was scheduled for Tuesday at Fountainhead Creek Golf Course in Checotah, and the girls 2A state tournament is set for Wednesday and Thursday, May 1 and 2 at Trosper Park in Del City.

Pryor Creek hosted a 2A boys qualifying tournament Monday which featured Chouteau golfers. The 2A regional tournament is scheduled for Monday, April 29 at Clary Fields Golf Course in Sapulpa with the state tournament at Emerald Falls in Broken Arrow set for May 6 and 7.

The Pryor boys are the only local golf squad that will leave Mayes County for their first postseason tournament. The Tigers will head to Shawnee Monday, April 29 for a regional tourney at Shawnee Country Club. The state tournament is May 6 and 7 at Tulsa Country Club.

TRACK

Pryor's tracksters will head to Tahlequah Saturday, May 4 for the regional track meet. The Class 5A state meet will be May 10 and 11 at Yukon High School.

Locust Grove is set for a 4A regional track meet at Oologah High School Saturday, April 27. The state meet will commence May 3 and 4 at Ardmore High School.

In Class 3A, Adair and Salina will head to Stroud April 27 for a regional meet. The state meet is the following weekend at Ardmore.

Chouteau's 2A regional track meet will be at Oologah Saturday, April 27, with the state meet scheduled for May 3 and 4 at Carl Albert High School in Oklahoma City.

TENNIS

The Pryor ladies will hit the court at Bixby High School Monday, April 29, in a regional tennis tournament. The boys will play the following weekend at Claremore High School.
