Lady Tiger golfers take sixth in home tourney

PRYOR, OK — The Pryor Lady Tigers golf team turned in a sixth-place showing at the Pryor Girls Golf Invitational at the Pryor Creek Golf Course Thursday behind a ninth-place round from Mia Gordon.

Gordon shot a round of 97 to tie Ariel Dotson of Coweta.

Pryor finished with a team score of 427 to edge Catoosa (435) for sixth. Poteau took home the top prize with a low mark of 379.

Claremore (408), Oologah (419) and Cushing (421) rounded out the top five.

Hannah Ward of Poteau shot a 78 to run away with the individual title, nine strokes ahead of second place ShyAnn Williams of Coweta (87).

Tahlequah's Emily Pippin (89), Oologah's Megan McDaniels (90), Claremore's Alyssa Brown (92), Poteau's Cathleen Manlove (94) and Muldrow's Michaela Earls (94) all turned in top-10 scorecards.
