Adair blanks No. 10 Ketchum

ADAIR, OK — Adair got a measure of revenge Thursday night, knocking off Class 2A's No. 10 Ketchum 8-0 at Adair.

Ketchum's Warriors defeated Adair 7-0 in Adair's second game of the regular season March 14 before handing them another loss in the first round of the Ketchum Hardball Classic March 19.

The second loss, a 9-5 decision, dropped Adair to 0-4 on the year. Since that defeat, Adair is 9-5 including Thursday's shutout win.

Adair was set to play at Class 4A Dewey Friday. The Warriors (9-9) will play at Commerce Monday before hosting Verdigris Tuesday.

Salina, which popped Adair 7-0 Tuesday, is back on a winning streak. The Wildcats (14-7) toppled Kansas 9-1 in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader at Salina and pummeled Lincoln Christian School 13-5 Thursday.

The Wildcats played host to Class 5A Tahlequah Friday and are set to tangle with Kickapoo (Mo.) in a neutral-site contest at 2:30 p.m. today at Claremore Sequoyah.

Locust Grove is reeling after three straight losses this week — an 11-3 loss to Spiro, a 9-4 collapse at Stilwell and a 6-1 home defeat at the hands of Grove.

The losing streak dropped the Pirates, who are taking part in this weekend's Mickey Mantle Classic, to 6-14.

Chouteau moved to 4-13 with a 4-2 win over Porter Monday and a 12-1 loss to Oklahoma Union Tuesday.

Chouteau was scheduled to host Ketchum Friday before a home contest Monday against Okay.
