CLAREMORE, OK —
Adair's diamond ladies improved to 5-6 on the season and claimed their first signature win of the season, dumping formerly unbeaten and 2A's third-ranked Savanna 2-1 Friday at the Rogers State Festival in Claremore.
Adair's celebration was short-lived, however, as the Lady Warriors dropped a 3-0 contest to Poteau later in the day and a 9-7 decision to Coweta Saturday.
Coweta and Adair have faced off three times already in the early season, with the Lady Tigers gaining the upper hand in two of the contests.
In other softball action Friday, McAlester stopped Locust Grove 6-2 at the Northeastern State Tournament in Tahlequah, Salina dispatched Ketchum 8-2 and Warner ended Chouteau's night early with a 14-0 run-rule win.
