Caney Valley snaps Adair's winning streak

PRYOR, OK — The Adair baseball squad had its four-game winning streak broken over the weekend with a 12-4 loss to Class 2A's No. 2 Caney Valley Friday.

Adair started the season 0-4 but won five of its next six to improve to .500 before falling to the Trojans, dropping their season record to 5-6.

The Warriors' Saturday matchup with Jay was rained out.

Salina's Wildcats were rained out of the last two rounds of the Oologah-Talala Invitational, including a Friday game against pool foe Sequoyah Claremore.

Salina was 0-2 in the tournament after a 4-3 extra-innings loss to Berryhill and an 8-0 defeat at the hands of Cascia Hall. Both of those games were played Thursday.

Locust Grove and Chouteau got their game in Friday night before the weather hit, as the Pirates nabbed a 13-9 thriller at Chouteau. The win improved Locust to 5-9 on the season, while the Wildcats fell to 2-7.
