ADAIR, OK —
Adair multi-sport star Brady Bradbury was named the Region 3 Male Athlete of the Year by the Oklahoma Coaches Association this week.
Bradbury, a senior, started the school year at quarterback for the Warriors, leading them to a 12-1 record and a berth in the 2A state quarterfinals, where they lost 34-33 to Davis. The Adair offense notched 42.1 points per game in 2012 with Bradbury at the helm.
In November, Bradbury traded his cleats for high-tops, leading the Warrior hoops team to a 20-11 record and just three points shy of the 3A state tournament.
Bradbury averaged a blazing 22.1 points per game his senior year and put up 30 in the Warriors' season-ending overtime loss to Sperry in an area consolation final.
Currently, Bradbury starts at shortstop for the Warrior baseball team.
The Oklahoma Coaches Association names athletes of the year for eight individual regions throughout the state. Coaches will vote on a state athlete of the year from the eight regional players of the year during their board meeting in May.
Bradbury has not yet announced where (or which sport) he will play collegiately.
