— Chouteau’s 59-40 win over Chelsea on the road Friday extends the Wildcats win-streak to seven.

Chouteau came out strong, leading 14-5 after one period.

Head coach Travis Wheeler said his team’s offense dropped off in the second, however.

“We didn’t shoot the ball well,” said Wheeler. “But our defense became our offense via conversions.”

Travis Brannon, delivered a zero-point first half performance, only to drop 17 in the second half.

A 20-5 run in the third shut the door on Chelsea.

“”In the last couple of weeks, we’ve gotten better daily,” Wheeler said. “And our level of intensity is encouraging heading into the post season.”
