LOCUST GROVE, OK — The Locust Grove baseball squad went 1-1 on the road this week, finding itself on the wrong end of a 6-1 decision at Oologah Monday before walloping Keys (Park Hill) 13-5 Tuesday. The 13-run output is the Pirates' highest total of the season.

The Pirates are now 3-8 on the season and will host Hilldale today at noon.

Salina moved past Henryetta in the most current rankings, taking the No. 2 slot in Class 3A after a perfect week.

The Wildcats squashed Dickson and Marietta after an extra-inning win against Ketchum to move to 6-1 on the season, heading into their Texas roadtrip.

On Monday, the Wildcats made a stop at Central Catholic High School, dispatching their hosts 7-5.

Ketchum took a 9-5 win over Adair in a battle of Warriors in the first round of the Ketchum Hardball Classic Tuesday.

Adair will conclude pool play Thursday and Friday against Quapaw and Fairland, respectively, before Saturday's final round. The Quapaw game is set to start at 4 p.m., while the first pitch against Fairland is slated for noon.

The Chouteau Wildcats are set to play Kansas Saturday.
