Tigers double up Western Heights

PRYOR, OK — Pryor improved to 11-5 and 5-1 in District 5A-4 play by sweeping Western Heights in a home doubleheader Tuesday.

In the first game of the twinbill, sophomores Anthony Martinez and Bradley Nixon combined to shut out the Jets, 10-0 in six innings.

Martinez (2-1) fanned six batters and allowed three hits in four innings of work. Nixon earned the save.

Nate Wolfe went 2-for-4 from the plate with an RBI, and Conley Ledoux had a two-RBI single. Brennon Barth doubled in a run and Christian Campbell had an RBI triple.

In the nightcap, Pryor run-ruled the visitors 18-6 in five innings.

Ledoux stayed unbeaten at 3-0 on the mound, picking up five punch-outs and allowing three hits.

Barth went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs. Campbell went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

Spencer Henson also batted a pair of runs and tripled for the first time this season, and Martinez was 2-for-2 at the plate with a triple.

Wolfe stole three bases in the second game, and freshman Tyler Arnold swiped four on the day to bring his season total to 11.

Pryor will travel to Claremore Thursday for a non-district rivalry game. The first pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
