TAHLEQUAH, OK —
The Pryor Tigerettes fell in an 8-0 shutout to state-title favorite Tahlequah Monday.
The district loss dropped Pryor (17-12) to 8-6 in District 5A-3 play behind Claremore (21-6, 12-2) Tahlequah (30-3, 12-2) and Collinsville (21-16, 8-6). Collinsville held the tiebreaker over Pryor with a 2-0 head-to-head record.
Fourth-place Pryor will travel to Carl Albert to face Guthrie (16-14) in the first round of a double-elimination regional tournament Oct. 10. The Tigerettes and Bluejays will face off at 2 p.m. Carl Albert (27-1) and East Central (3-16) fill out the four-team tournament.
The winner of each regional will advance to the state tournament Oct. 17-19.
