Monday hoops: Salina girls edge Caney Valley

RAMONA, OK — Kaisee Moore drained five 3-pointers, including three in the pivotal fourth quarter, to help Salina escape Caney Valley with a 51-46 win Monday night.

Moore finished with 18 points and led the charge in the fourth quarter for the Lady Wildcats. Teammate Courtney Condit pitched in 16.

Salina trailed heading into the final eight minutes but outscored the Lady Trojans 18-7 in the final period for a come-from-benhind win.

In the late game, the Salina boys obliterated the Trojans, 67-23.

Nowata shocks Adair, 55-52

ADAIR — The Adair boys fell at home, 55-52, to Nowata Monday, marking its first home loss outside of the Adair Invitiational title game in December.

The Warriors had won four straight since losing a 75-70 decision in their home tournament final to Jay.

The Adair girls maintained their No. 1 ranking in Class 3A, bombarding the Lady Ironmen 61-30 in the early contest.
