Pryor moves to East-West final round

PRYOR, OK — Bradley Nixon allowed three hits in seven innings as host Pryor staved off elimination Friday with a 7-1 win over Skiatook.

Nixon struck out three Bulldogs and did not issue a walk as he improved to 2-0 on the season.

The Tigers jumped ahead 1-0 in the first inning before the Bulldogs tied it up in the third.

Pryor found its offense in the fourth inning, piling on four runs and adding two more in the fifth to give Nixon all the breathing room he would need.

Nixon helped himself out at the plate with a 2-for-3 showing, including an RBI double out of his seventh slot.

First-baseman Christian Campbell went 1-for-3 with an RBI double.

Pryor 6, Piedmont 1 (Friday)

PRYOR — Conley Ledoux continued to carve up opposing batters Friday night as Pryor advanced to the East-West State Tournament's final day with a 6-1 win over Piedmont.

Ledoux improved to 5-0 on the summer, allowing four hits and fanning eight Wildcats in a complete game outing.

Brennon Barth, Nixon and Damon Burroughs each collected a pair of hits off the Wildcat staff. Barth and Tylor Arnold each had an extra-base hit.

Pryor opened a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning and added security runs in the third and fourth innings to put Piedmont away.
