Ledoux earns stripes in the summer

BAXTER SPRINGS, Kan. — Pryor wrapped up an impressive summer with a 1-0 shutout of the Three Rivers Bandits Tuesday at Baxter Springs, Kan.

Righthander Conley Ledoux cemented his spot as the go-to pitcher for his head coach Gerald Osborne over the summer, and Osborne turned to him once again in the last game of the short season.

In his six summer starts, Ledoux maintained an ERA of 1.13. He struck out 42 batters in 37 innings of work and allowed only 18 hits.

Ledoux (6-0) turned in another sparkling seven-inning performance against the Bandits, a team made up of Legion players from Muskogee, Checotah, Ft. Gibson, Hilldale, Wagoner, Cushing, McAlester and Stilwell.

The senior fanned six Bandits, walked one and gave up just two hits in what became a pitchers' duel.

Christian Campbell had the lone mult-hit game for Pryor, and he crossed the plate in the second inning on a Bradley Nixon single for the game's only run.

Pryor finished the summer season with a 17-2-1 record.
