Footballers invited to 'Kick It With Karissa'

PRYOR, OK — Pryor senior Karissa Aubrey will host the "Kick It With Karissa" soccer camp July 20 to raise funds for a mission trip to Haiti in August.

Aubrey will work with the non-profit organization Conduit Mission, based out of Franklin, Tenn. Since its launch in 2007, Conduit has offered immediate disaster relief to Nashville, Haiti, Japan, and Alabama, opened an orphanage in Africa and started a child sponsorship program in Haiti.

"We'll be going to an orphanage, helping out there, and we'll be doing a lot of manual labor. Construction-type stuff," Aubrey said.

Aubrey has played competitive soccer for 12 years and has captained competitive teams in Tulsa and the Pryor High School team. She garnered an All-Metro Team honorable mention for the 2013 season playing for the Lady Tigers. Aubrey has also been involved in the Olympic developmental program.

Aubrey will teach basic soccer skills and lead basic drills and games at the July 20 camp, which will run from 8 a.m. to noon at the Mayes County Soccer Fields. Campers of all ages are invited to attend.

The cost of the camp is $20, which includes a T-shirt.

Aubrey will leave for Haiti Aug. 3.
