County schools represented on Three Rivers teams

PRYOR, OK — Each Mayes County high school will send at least one senior to the Three Rivers All-Star Baseball Game May 21 in Pryor.

Athletes from 19 schools will converge on American Legion Memorial Park at 7 p.m. Wednesday, including Pryor's own Nate Wolfe, who was selected as an outfielder.

From Adair, first-baseman and outfielder Cody Yoder was chosen. From Chouteau, pitcher Doug Mynahan and third-baseman Austin Hershberger were selected.

Salina will send three players: shortstop Cale Backward, infielder Bret Fite and second-baseman/outfielder Mark Cowan.

Locust Grove will be represented by shortstop and pitcher Dylan Hughes and catcher Jeremy McFarland.

Players from Adair, Chouteau, Fairland, Grove, Jay, Locust Grove, Miami, Salina, Vinita and Wagoner will make up the East squad, which will be coached by Wagoner's Larry Milligan and Benny Nail.

Players from Catoosa, Claremore, Claremore-Sequoyah, Collinsville, Inola, Lincoln Christian, Oologah, Pryor and Skiatook will form the West team, coached by Catoosa's Scott Mowery and Lincoln Christian's Jason Brown.
