Adair faces toughest opponent

ADAIR — After defeating a familiar foe, Wyandotte, 46-16 in the first round of the 2A playoffs, the No. 5-ranked Adair Warriors will face No.6 ranked Okemah Friday at home.

While Adair remains unbeaten on the year, Okemah has dropped only one game.

The loss came at the hands of Stroud 28-0.

The Okemah Panthers scored 60 points and held the Panama Razorbacks scoreless  in a  non-league victory last week.

Sweet 16 Class 2A teams include:

No. 1 Vian, No. 2 Davis, No. 3 Hennessey, No. 4 Stroud. No. 7 OKC Millwood, No. 8 Frederick, No. 9 Oklahoma Christian, No. 10 Commerce, Kansas, Meeks, Alva and Lindsay.

Sweet 16 Class 5A teams include:

Carl Albert, Claremore, Bishop Kelley, Bishop McGuiness, Deer Creek, McAlester, East Central and Guthrie
