Lady Warriors stumble in regional final

HENRYETTA, OK — Henryetta removed Adair from the state playoff equation Friday, tripping the Lady Warriors 10-0 in an elimination final in a 3A regional tournament.

On Thursday, Adair met the No. 6 Lady Knights in the second round after toppling Lincoln Christian 16-2. Henryetta knocked off Sperry 5-0 to move into the winner's bracket, where it defeated Adair 6-2 and put the Lady Warriors within one game of elimination.

Lincoln Christian, ranked 17th in Class 3A, eclipsed Sperry 7-6 Thursday to stave off elimination and set up a rematch with Adair Friday. Lincoln Christian (26-8) had a chance to eliminate Adair, but the Lady Warriors instead ended the Lady Bulldogs' season with a SCORE win to set up a potential pair of must-win games against Henryetta Friday afternoon.

Henryetta advances to the 3A state playoff tournament next weekend with a (23-9) record.

The Warriors finished the 2013 campaign with a 25-12 record and a No. 12 ranking in Class 3A, per
