PRYOR, OK —
Pryor's boys and girls soccer teams opened their seasons at 1-1, including home wins over 5A foe Collinsville Thursday night.
Forward Hannah Bryan scored her first two goals of the season against the Lady Cardinals to lead the Lady Tigers to a 2-0 win. Bryan, a junior, netted one goal in each half.
Elizabeth Anderson kept the Tiger net clean. The junior goalkeeper recorded four saves and the Tigers' first shutout of the season.
Junior Corey Horton scored the only goal of the boys game late in the second half, leading the Tigers to a 1-0 shutout of the Cardinals.
Goalkeeper Ryan Ogg, a sophomore, denied seven Collinsville shots.
In the March 8 girls' season opener at Pryor, Skiatook hit the Lady Tigers with a 2-1 setback. Junior forward Karissa Aubrey scored Pryor's only goal in the first half. Anderson notched five saves.
Skiatook scored a 2-0 victory in the late game, pushing a pair of goals past Ogg. Ogg had five saves on the night.
The Tigers and Lady Tigers will head to Rogers (Ark.) Saturday for matches with the Mounties. Rogers and Pryor are set to kickoff at noon.
Locust Grove's girls were hit with an 8-1 loss in their Tuesday season opener against Keys (Park Hill) at home.
The Lady Pirates are off until March 26, when they head to Tahlequah for a match with the Lady Tigers.
