Pryor girls, boys hoops camps set for June

PRYOR, OK — The Pryor boys and girls basketball teams will host hoops camps at the Burdick Center for elementary and junior high players throughout the month of June.

New Pryor men's head coach Russ Gilmore, winner of five state championships in Texas and New Mexico, will lead the boys camp for incoming second through ninth-graders June 24-27.

The camp will run from 8 a.m. to noon each day. All campers will receive instruction in individual techniques and team drills, including ball-handling, passing, dribbling and shooting.

The camp costs $55 for pre-registration or $60 on the day of the camp. The cost includes a camp T-shirt.

Pryor girls head coach Kim Barth will host a pair of girls camps in June.

The first camp, for athletes going into the third through eighth grades, will be June 3-6.

The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. The cost of the camp is $60 if registered by Thursday, May 23, and $70 for late registration. A T-shirt is included in the cost.

Barth will also host a Pre-K through second grade camp June 17-19, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The cost is $30.
