Kenny Howell
Sports Writer

PRYOR - The Pryor 2A Tigers blew out Sapulpa on Thursday, and the 3A followed suit on Friday. The Tigers grabbed wins of 8-0 and 2-0.

Pryor scored three in the first and one in the second to get

the early 4-0 lead. Sapulpa

couldn’t manage anything off of pitcher Tatyn Fee, and Pryor added one in the fourth, and three in the sixth to finish the game out.

Fee threw a one-hitter and struck out eight in six innings. He is 2-0 on the season.

P.J. Stimson had three RBIs in the contest. Dalton Murphy was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a double. Hunter Wood and Fee each had one RBI.

The RBIs came from Wood and Johnny Whisman.

The 3A is back in action Tuesday when they travel to Catoosa. The first game will start at 5:30 p.m.

PRYOR - The 2A Pryor Tigers had no trouble with Bartlesville Tuesday, as the Tigers run-ruled the Warriors, 9-1.

Hunter Wood started the scoring in the first with a RBI double that brought home lead off hitter Dalton Murphy.

Murphy started the inning with a double of his own, and was moved to third by Blake Heston’s sacrifice bunt.

In the second inning, Bartlesville matched the Pryor run.

In the bottom of the inning, Murphy brought in the Tigers second run with a bases loaded sacrifice fly.

Pryor then got a run on a balk by Bartlesville pitcher.

When he was bringing his glove up, the ball popped out and the runners were moved up by the umpires.

Heston struck out, but the third strike was dropped and the throw to first flew over the first baseman’s head,

allowing Johnny Whisman to score.

At the end of the second, Pryor led 4-1.

After a scoreless third and top of the fourth, the Tigers were able to add four more runs.

Shane Holloway scored on a passed ball.

Heston knocked in a run with a RBI single to left.

With the bases loaded, Christian Doty was hit by a pitch, bringing in the third run.

Zekke Stump hit into a fielder’s choice, but it was enough to score the fourth run of the inning.

At the end of four, Pryor led 8-1.

Pryor held the Warriors scoreless in the fifth, and

needed just one run to close out the game.

Murphy provided that with a RBI single to left to bring in Holloway.

Hunter Wood showed that he will be a good addition to the Pryor High School rotation next season.

His sharp fastball and knee-buckling curveball baffled the Warriors’ hitters.

He struck out eight over five innings and only gave up two hits.

The Tigers lost the second game to Bartlesville, 2-0.
