NORMAN — With all the attention on the quarterback situation for the Oklahoma State football team, lost in today's game with Texas is the play of the Longhorns quarterback David Ash.

With the quarterback position a relative revolving door last year for Texas, this season Ash appears to have brought some stability to the Longhorn offense.

Through the first three games of the season, Ash has completed 76 percent of his pass attempts for 703 yards with seven touchdowns and no interceptions. He has also been creative on the ground with 11 carries for 58 yards and a touchdown.

"He is much more experienced. After having started multiple games last year as well as spring ball and two-a-days, he is just much more settled in. He looks a lot more confident in the pocket," OSU defensive coordinator Bill Young said of Ash.
