Obituary- Whitenack

— Funeral services for David Lee Whitenack, 72, Pryor, are 2 p.m., today, Sept.17, at First Church of God in Pryor. Pastor Andrew Rehbein will officiate with burial following in Adair Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stephens Memorial Chapel.

Whitenack, was born on Aug. 19, 1941, in Tulsa, to Orville and Evah (Stayton) Whitenack. He died Sept. 13 in Pryor.

He was raised and attended school in Chelsea. He later moved to Pryor in 1956. On May 11, 1960, he married Karen Seabolt in Seneca, Mo. They made their home in Pryor. He was owner/operator of Mayes County Propane and Miller Transports. He was a member of First Church of God in Pryor. He had many hobbies. In his younger years, he enjoyed square dancing and bowling.  Later in life, he enjoyed fishing, golfing and wood working. He enjoyed doing things around the house, especially mowing and enjoyed spending time with his family. His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, were a very important part of his life, and he enjoyed watching them participate in sports and activities.

Whitenack is survived by his wife Karen of the home; daughter Janet McCuistion and husband Taylor of Pryor; son Donnie Whitenack and wife Kim of Pryor; six grandchildren, Justin McCuistion, Ryan McCuistion, Clint Whitenack, Craig McCuistion Travis Whitenack and Kelsey McCuistion; four great-grandchildren, Cooper McCuistion, Kelby Whitenack, Sophia Whitenack and Brynlee McCuistion and two more on the way;  brother Don Whitenack and wife Mary Anne of Tulsa; sisters Phyllis Porche of Chelsea, Karen Hadden and husband Jack of Catoosa; brothers-in-law, Buddy Dotter and A.K. Douglas; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Novelena Douglas and Betty Dotter, one brother-in-law, Marvin Porche and one sister-in-law Pat Whitenack.
