Funeral services for David E. Lee, 73, Pryor, are 2 p.m.Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013 at Key Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor. Pastor Sanders will officiate with burial following at Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor. Viewing is 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday. The family will receive friends 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday. Services are under the direction of Key Funeral Home in Pryor.
David Edward Lee was born on Oct. 12, 1939 in Salina to Charlie and Delphia (Littlefield) Cloyde. He grew up in various small schools in Mayes County then went on to graduate from Will Rogers High School in 1957. After high school, he worked at Humpty Dumpty and Affiliated Foods in Tulsa where he made his home and raised his three children. He later got into the steel manufacturing industry, as a fitter. He was married to Patricia Sue Gaffney on Aug. 14, 1968 in Bartlesville and made their home in Tulsa. He worked for a few Steel Manufacturing companies over the years but the last company he worked for was CK Inspections where he was a welding inspector for 17 years. He and Patti moved to Pryor in the early 2000’s and have lived here ever since.
After retiring, he was able to enjoy time with his family. He also enjoyed crunching numbers and working all kinds of math problems. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, mowing his lawn and fishing. He was a member of the Salina Full Gospel Church and loved southern gospel music.
He is survived by wife Patti of the home; two children Ricky Wayne Lee and wife Colleen and Vickie Lee both of Tulsa; six grandkids Michael, Tamara, Brandy, Amber, Ryan and Cassie; and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents Charlie and Delphia Cloyde; one daughter Tracy; and one grandson Joshua.
