Obituary: Deloris Brantley

Deloris Brantley was born on Nov. 21, 1924, in Beggs, to Claude H. and Margaret Nevada (Adams) Brantley.  She died March 24, in Pryor. She was 87.

Brantley graduated from Foster High School in Oklahoma City.  On Sept. 11, 1961, in Del City, she and Roy H. Brantley were united in marriage.  Roy preceded his wife in death on April 12, 2000.  The couple had been married for over 38 years.

Brantley had been active with the local VFW and Ladies Auxiliary.  She enjoyed playing bingo, dancing with friends, traveling, shopping for antiques and riding a motorcycle.

She is survived by, two sons; Randall Dover and wife Lucille of Locust Grove,Brian Brantley and wife Marquita of Locust Grove; two daughters, Kimberly Moore of Locust Grove, Kelly Peckenpaugh and husband Butch of Pryor; five grandchildren, Andrew Lee Standingwater, Jacob Hunter Standingwater, Shirley Lillian Jean Standingwater, and twins Braxton Scott Standingwater and Braydon James Standingwater; numerous other relatives including her nephew, Steve Brantley of Eldorado, Ark.; and a host of friends.

Brantley was preceded in death by, her parents; her husband; three brothers, Ralph Brantley, Elwood Brantley, and Bob Brantley.

Graveside services were 11 a.m., March 28, at the Hogan Cemetery in Locust Grove.  The Rev. Rick Kiddy officiated.  Services were entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.  To leave thoughts, memories, or condolences visit
