Funeral services for Nancy Leach, 83, Salina, are 2 p.m. Wednesday , May 22, at Lakeview Baptist Church in Salina with burial following at New Jordan Cemetery in Salina. Visitation is 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at Key Funeral Home in Pryor. Services are under the direction of Key Funeral Home in Pryor.
Leach was born on Aug. 15, 1929, in Mayes County to Susie Ross. She died Friday, May 17, at her home, surrounded by those she loved. She was 83 years old.
She grew up in the Rocky Mountain area of Cherokee County, near Tahlequah. She and Chickale Leach were married on May 15, 1966, in Welling, where they made their home for many years.
In her spare time, Leach enjoyed going out to eat with friends and family and going to garage sales. She loved to shop and was always buying clothes for her family; she loved clothes and shoes.
She was a member of Little Rock Indian Baptist Church and also attended New Jordan Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Lois Leach-Deason and husband James of Peggs and Emma Dorman and husband Harve of Salina; four grandchildren, Wenona Leach-Deardeuff and husband Paul of Welling, Joseph Leach of Tahlequah, Harvey Dorman and wife Heather of Muskogee and Andrew Dorman of Salina and four great-grandchildren, Deanna, Destiny, Peyton and Cambria.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Chickale in 1983 and her sister Agnes.
