Obituary-Ball

PRYOR, OK — Funeral services for Bryan Lee Ball, 62, Salina, are Thursday, March, 20, 2 p.m., at the Salina High School Gymnasium. Pastors Terry Tramel and Rick Condit will officiate and burial will follow at Ross-Mayes Cemetery, Salina.  Services are entrusted to Stephens Memorial Chapel.

Ball was born March 5, 1952, in Pryor to Jack and Mary Ann (Gates) Ball. He died March 16 in Siloam Springs, Ark. He was 62.

He was a lifetime resident of Salina and graduated from Salina High School with the class of 1970. He was owner of Ball Construction. He married Diane Tramel in Anchoarage, Alaska, on June 15, 1970. They had been married for 39 years when she died on March 12, 2009. He married Churbie Diane Vaughn on Nov. 19, 2013, in Locust Grove. He enjoyed working, going to casinos and taking care of his cows.  He never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He always walked a Christian life and absolutely adored his family. He was known to his grandkids as “Dad Ball”  and all the other kids who knew him called him “Dad Ball,” too.

He is survived by his wife Churbie of the home; daughter Brianna Roley and husband Kelly of Norman; two sons, Bub Ball and wife Deanna and Ryan Ball and wife Mallory all of Salina; step-daughter Leanne Griffin and husband Wesley of Pryor; grandchildren Tyler, Wyatt, Caleb, John, Trevor, Kobe and Brynn; brothers Jackie Ball and wife Brenda of Salina, Harrold Ballard and wife Bonnie of Woodall; sister Jeannie Brown and husband Richard of Pryor; niece JaLinda Steele and husband Joe of Stillwater; two nephews, Garrett Ball and wife Mylea of Salina, J.T. Ball of Salina; sisters-in-law Jaunema Benham, Jean Molder and Elaine Cole; brothers-in-law Bob Stanford and Don Tramel and wife Doris; special son Preston Johnson; special friends Gary and Denita Shamel, Charlie Jones and Johnny and Linda Dodson other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, March 19, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Stephens Memorial Chapel.
