Memorial services for Larry Ray Nusz, 71, Pryor, are 10 a.m. Friday, May 3, at Stephens Memorial Chapel. Pastor Bill Smith will officiate with services are entrusted to Stephens Memorial Chapel.
Nusz lived in Pryor for the last 40 years. He graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1959. He was married to Kay Rae Bowden on July 11, 1959 in Neosho, Mo. He bought the Dairy Stop in Pryor in the early 1970s and ran it for several years. He also worked for Time-Warner contracting fiber optics. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1960 to 1962 in the Vietnam War. He was an outgoing person who never met a stranger. He enjoyed cooking, fishing and playing golf. He will be missed by his family and all the people who knew him.
He is survived by wife Kay of the home; daughter Cindy Taylor and husband Steve of Pryor, son Kirk Nusz and wife April of Pryor; seven grandchildren Brandon, Cassie, Larry, Kynsley, Sharue, Derek and Keith; nine great-grandchildren; sister Jody Briley and husband Skip of Vinita; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Beverly Daugherty.
