Memorial services for Donna Gustafson, 52, Oklahoma City, are 1 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2013, at Stephens Memorial Chapel. Rev. Rick Robart will officiate with services entrusted to Stephens Memorial Chapel.
She was born Feb. 25, 1961 in Hagerstown, Md. to Don “Gus” and Jean (Clegg) Gustafson. She died July 11, 2013 in Oklahoma City.
Gustafson started school in Arlington, Va. She moved to Pryor with her family and attended Lincoln Elementary. She attended Pryor Junior High School and graduated from Pryor High School with the class of 1979. She started band in the sixth grade and in her high school years was in jazz band, choir and was the drum major her senior year. Gustafson excelled in her studies and was always a leader. She was employed for two years with the Pryor Police Department as a dispatcher. She moved to Tulsa and worked at Williams Company for a few years. She then moved, with her daughter, Elizabeth, to Cape Vincent, N.Y. She stayed in that area but then returned to Oklahoma City to be close to her daughter and three grandchildren. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Pryor and Christ United Methodist Church in Tulsa. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her family
Gustafson is survived by daughter Elizabeth Sutherland and husband Lance of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren Haley, Kloe and Logan; her parents Don “Gus” and Jean Gustafson of Pryor; sister Debra Nett and husband Jeff of Stillwater; brother Richard Gustafson and wife Liz of Tulsa, David Gustafson and wife Hope of Hattiesburg, Miss.
