Pat P. Spaulding was born June 16, 1926, in Gotebo, to Bert and Iva (Howey) Spaulding. He died Sunday morning, Aug. 25, in Tulsa. He was 87.
He married Peggy Mitchell Sept. 5, 1986, in Vinita. After 31 years of ranching, he worked five years as an equipment operator for Mayes County District 1. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mazie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife JoAnne, five brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife Peggy of the home in Chouteau; three sons, Pat Spaulding of Olustee, Joe Spaulding and wife Valerie of Chouteau and James Spaulding and wife Rose of Chouteau; step-children Brent Grimes and wife Joanie of Chouteau and Dawn Posey and husband Rick of Mazie; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are
2 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 29, in the First Baptist Church in Mazie, with the Revs. Wally Broyles and Jess Dinsmore officiating. Interment will follow in Ghormley Cemetery in Pensacola under the direction of Hersman-Nichols Funeral Home, Wagoner.
