PRYOR, OK — Funeral services for Kathryn Jewel Rott, 88, Pryor, are Tuesday, Feb. 25, 10 a.m., at Key Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor. Burial will follow at Lone Chapel Cemetery. Services are under the direction Key Funeral Home in Pryor.

Rott was born on Oct. 7, 1925, in London, Ark., to Clarence and Bertha (Trapp) Walker. She died Feb. 21 in Tulsa.

She was one of eight children; she had five sisters and two brothers. The family moved to Oklahoma in 1927 and she attended school at Prairie Grove and Oologah. Growing up, she enjoyed playing basketball. She met Fred Rott in 1941 and they married on April 13, 1943. They had three sons. The Rotts moved to Pryor from Talala in April of 1963. She belonged to the New Home Club in Pryor where she got together with other homemakers around town to exchange recipes, crafting ideas, sewing tips and other things. She enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She was an excellent cook and the family loved eating her cooking. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids playing dominoes and card games. In their younger years, she and Fred were members of the Kissing Cousins Square Dance Club and she was also a member of the First Christian Church in Pryor.

She is survived by her husband Fred of the home; three sons, Fred Rott Jr., Jerry Rott and wife Evelyn and Gary Rott and wife Diane; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, numerous other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her brothers and sisters.
