Funeral services for Leon Pritchett, 78, Pryor, are 2 p.m. Friday, May 3, at Westside Free Will Baptist Church, Pryor. Pastors Andy Nichols and Jason Nichols will officiate. Services are entrusted to Stephens Memorial Chapel.
Pritchett was born March 16, 1935, in Salina, to Thomas H. and Kate (Bishop) Pritchett. He died April 29, in Tulsa.
He was a lifetime resident of Mayes County and Pryor. He was married to Barbara Powell on July 1, 1955, in Pryor. He was owner of Pritchett Trucking. He also worked at Georgia Pacific for 15 years. He loved farming, ranching and raising Limousin cattle. Pritchett was a member of Westside Free Will Baptist Church. He served as a Deacon for many years and he loved his church family.
Pritchett is survived by wife Barbara of the home; son Bruce Pritchett of Pryor, daughter Kim Stout and husband Mike of Chouteau; four grandchildren, Cassity Bixby and husband Jake, Jeremy Littlefield, Chase Littlefield and Kylie Littlefield; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Brandon and husband Bob of Pryor, Eula Gage and husband Gene of Pryor; sister-in-law Ruby Pritchett of Salina; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gene Pritchett.
