Mabel Louise Hawthorne, 85, Langley, died Wednesday, March 20, in Vinita. She was born April 8, 1927, in Spavinaw, the daughter of William F. Goins and Mary E. (Carroll) Goins. She married Luther James Hawthorne on Jan. 29, 1966, in Reno, Nev. Hawthorne was a member of the First Baptist Church in Spavinaw. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and crafts and being outdoors in her flower garden.
Funeral services are
2 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, in the First Baptist Church of Spavinaw with the Rev. J. D. Lancaster officiating. Interment will be in the Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from

She is survived by her children, Larry Lee and wife, Connie Coulston of Langley, Dianna Jo and husband, Larry Lee Wynia of Parma, Idaho; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Goins, husband Luther Hawthorne, brothers William Franklin Goins, Jr., Martin Brewster Goins, Bristow Woodrow Goins, Phinas Haywood Goins and Marvin Oliver Goins, sisters Adra Lee Goins, Stella May Cox, Polly Ann Cohea, Mary Elizabeth Margarite Goins and Eve Evelyn Goins and great-granddaughter, Audrey Black.
