Graveside services for Marjorie Ethelene Reeves, 93, will be announced at a later date. Reeves was born on April 16, 1920, in Pryor, to George and Carrie Kays. She died Feb. 3, in Placerville, Calif.
Reeves grew up on the farm with four brothers and three sisters. She and Harry W. (Dugan) Reeves were married on Aug. 5, 1938, in Pryor.
The couple moved to Colorado. For 57 years, they followed the construction trade moving to several states, including Arkansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and California.
She was a licensed beautician and owned her own beauty parlor for years. They always called Pryor their real home and came back to Pryor when they retired.
Reeves is survived by one daughter, Carol Louis and husband Ernie of Placerville, Calif.; one son, Bill Reeves and wife Diana of Locust Grove; four grandchildren, Scott Louis and wife Gina of El Dorado, Calif., Casey Bonar and husband Scott of El Dorado, Calif., John Reeves of Auburn, Calif., and Jim Reeves of Pryor; three great-grandchildren, Evan and Morgan Bonar and Kamryn Louis; one brother, Wayne Kays and wife Shirley of Sand Springs and a host of other extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dugan in October of 1995, daughters Wanda Sue and Judy K and six siblings, Nora Lee, Clifford Kays, Maude Reeves, Icle Green, Kenneth Kays and Carl Kays.
